A Family We’ve Been Waiting For

We watched the years go quietly by

Through patient tongues and changing skies

Every wish we held with care

Led us gently to You there

Now the chapel doors stand open wide

And love is gathered by Your side

All the hope we carried through

Shines in the steps You're taking now

This is the moment we true dove

The light that answered all our prayers

I saw this walking into love

With all the tenderness He bears

And in his smile our hearts can see

The life we hoped would come to be

We've seen his laughter, seen his tears

Seen him grow through all the years

And now he stands where future starts

With one true hand and two full hearts

This is the moment we dreamed of

The light that answered all our prayers

Our son is walking into love

With all the tenderness he bears

And in his smile our hearts can see

The life we hoped would come to be

May every morning bless your way

May kindness stay in all you say

May every road you walk together

Lead you home and keep you better

This is the moment we dreamed of

The light get answered all our prayers

Our son is walking into love

With all the tenderness He bears

And in His smile our hearts can see

A life we hoped would come to be

The years of hope have found their song

And now Your love will carry on
