Be About It

I was done in the dark

Had to learn how to rise

Every scar on my hands

Was a spark in my eyes

From the dust to the hate

I kept moving my feet

Now I'm standing in the sun

With the rhythm and heat

They said I'd fade out

Said I'd never get far

But I kept that fire lit

Under every star

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Walk that road

No doubt about it

From where I was to where I am

I came back stronger

Take my hand

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Feel that groove

Now scream and shout it

If you want the proof

Just watch me move

I'm livin' redemption

I'm in the groove

Still a few loud voices

Talkin' from the side

But I'm too busy climbin'

I got a future to ride

Every setback turned

To a lesson I keep

Now I wear my past

Like a crown on my sleeve

They can keep their opinions

I don't need their space

I got a new name written

All over this place

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Walk that road

No doubt about it

From where I was to where I am

I came back stronger

Take my hand

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Feel that groove

Now scream and shout it

If you want the proof

Just watch me move

I'm living redemption

I'm in the groove

I turn my pain into motion

Turned my fear into flame

Now every beat of my heart

Sings I'm not the same

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Walk that road

No doubt about it

From where I was to where I am

I can act stronger

Take my hand

Let's not talk about it

Let's be about it

Feel that groove

Now scream and shout it

If you want the proof

Just watch me move

I'm living redemption

I'm in the groove
