Carry Me Through the Fire

[Intro]

I was walking

Heart so heavy it could break this ground

Eyes wide open

Still I felt like I was falling down

[Verse 1]

Every promise

Looked like pieces on a broken floor

But in the silence

I heard someone knocking at the door

[Pre-Chorus]

You said

"Stand up

Every scar is gonna shine someday"

I felt my hands lift

Before I found the words to pray

[Chorus]

Carry me through the fire

When I can’t see the way

You turn ashes to a choir

Every tear learns to praise

When my strength is all gone

You’re the strength I hold on to

Carry me through the fire

Till the fire carries me to You (oh-woah)

[Verse 2]

All my doubting

Tried to drown the little faith I had

Then Your mercy

Pulled me closer like a gentle hand

[Pre-Chorus]

You said

"Breathe now

Every breath is just a borrowed grace"

I felt the weight lift

Right there in that holy place

[Chorus]

Carry me through the fire

When I can’t see the way

You turn ashes to a choir

Every tear learns to praise

When my strength is all gone

You’re the strength I hold on to

Carry me through the fire

Till the fire carries me to You (yeah, yeah)

[Bridge]

I’ve seen valleys

I’ve seen graves

You turned shadows into praise

I keep walking

You make room

Where there never was a way

I’ve seen valleys

I’ve seen graves

You turned shadows into praise

I’ve seen graves

You turned shadows into praise

I keep walking

You make room

Where there never was a way

I’ve seen valleys

I’ve seen graves

You turned shadows into praise

If You brought me through before

You will bring me through again (again, again)

[Chorus]

Carry me through the fire

When I can’t see the way

You turn ashes to a choir

Every tear learns to praise

When my strength is all gone

You’re the strength I hold on to

Carry me through the fire

Till the fire carries me to You

[Outro]

Carry me through the fire

Carry me

Carry me through

Every flame

Every trial

Is a road that leads to You
