Come See About Me

[Intro]

[Organ moans

Slow and low

3-count swell]

Mmm

(Have Your way, Lord)

[Verse 1]

I came in limpin’

Heart pulled tight

Sunday dress wrinkled

Eyes lost sight

Sat in the back row

Didn’t want to be seen

Head hangin’ heavy

Hands too tired to dream

[Chorus]

Come see about me

Come see about me

I’m the one with the cracked-up

Patched-up heart

Jesus

Come see about me

Come see about me

Lay Your hand where I’m torn apart

I got a wounded spirit

But I know You’re the healing King

So come see about me

Come see about me (right now)

[Verse 2]

They sang ’bout mercy

I could barely stand

Till that fire started

Runnin’ through the band

Old saints swayin’

Tears on the floor

I felt that river

Pushin’ me toward the door

[Chorus]

Come see about me

Come see about me

I’m the one with the cracked-up

Patched-up heart

Jesus

Come see about me

Come see about me

Lay Your hand where I’m torn apart

I got a wounded spirit

But I know You’re the healing King

So come see about me

Come see about me (yeah)

[Bridge]

If You healed her body

If You calmed that sea (do it again)

If You broke that prison

You can break this grief

If You found that lost one

Way out in the dark

You can walk these aisles

You can touch my heart (my heart)

[Chorus]

Come see about me

Come see about me

I’m the one with the cracked-up

Patched-up heart

Jesus

Come see about me

Come see about me

Lay Your hand where I’m torn apart

I got a wounded spirit

But I know You’re the healing King

So come see about me

Come see about me (come on, Jesus)

Come see about me (come on, Jesus)

[Outro]

[Organ swells

Choir humming softly]

Come see about me

(See about me, Lord)

Come see about me

(Have Your way, Lord)
