Da Rebel

Yeah, Drizzy, Crown the Rebel

Ain't gotta tell them twice

They know what it is

I′m the rebel

Came from nothing

Made a way

Still the same me

I just move a different way

They was sleeping on the name

Now they watching every play

Crown the rebel

Put the crown where it belong today

Came from the bottom

I ain't asking for a hand

I′m lifted out the struggle

Now they gotta understand

Sweating in my blood

Put the city in the brand

Crown the rebel

I′m exactly who I am

I done walked through cold nights with a pocket full of dreams

Had to learn about the people nothing ever what it seems

Everybody said I loyal till the pressure hit the scene

Then they disappeared quick like they never knew the team

I kept working ain′t nobody gave a damn

Had to build it from the floor now they reaching for the brand

I don't follow I′m a leader I don't need another plan

If I say I′m coming through you can bet I'm where I stand

Treading made me every scar became a lesson

Every loss turned motivation every doubt became aggression

Now I′m focused on the mission I ain't chasing their acceptance

Crown the rebel that's the name remember the expression

I′m the rebel

Came from nothing

Laid away

Still the same me

I just moved a different way

They were sleeping on the name

Now they watching every play

Crown the rebel

Put the crown where it belong to them

Came from the bottom

I ain't asking for a hand

Went with it out the struggle

Now they gotta understand

Tripping in my blood

Put the city in the brand

Crown the rebel

I′m exactly who I am

I ain't gotta prove nothing

My existence say enough

Had some people switch sides

I just tightened up the trust

Turn pain into a record

Turn the record into dust

Now I′m dropping track after track

They can't keep up with the rush

Black and red when I step out

Crown sitting on a hat

Every move

Calculated ain′t no turning back from that

I was down I bounced back

That's the story that′s a fact

Crown the rebel on the rise

Put the city on my back

They can talk let them talk

I ain't worried bout opinions

I been building something bigger

While they focused on appearances

Every verse another chapter

Every song another witness

Born under nothing

Now I′m turning struggle into riches

Yeah

Jersey

Trenton

Crown the rebel

Born under nothing

Built from everything
