Dancing Alone Beneath the Moon

The violet dusk begins to descend

A heavy heart where the day will end

I seek the path where the darkness flows

Watching how the restless spirit grows

The paven sings a cold refrain

Walking through the ghosts of summer rain

I find my peace in the quiet deep

While all the world has gone to sleep

Dancing with the moon

Listening to a midnight tune

Chasing dreams above the park

Finding light within the dark

Dancing with the moon

Listening to a midnight tune,

Chasing dreams above the park,

Finding light within the dark

The towers glow with a distant hum

Waiting for the morning light to come

As thousand windows watch me pass

Reflections caught in the polished glass

The stars are white on a velvet floor

I do not wonder anymore

The rhythm leads my feet away

Into the blue before the gray

Dancing with the moon

Listening to a midnight tune

Chasing dreams above the dark

Finding light within the dark

Dancing with the moon

Listening to a midnight tune,

Chasing dreams above the park

Finding light within the dark

Dancing with the moon

Listening to a midnight tune

Chasing dreams above the bar

Finding light within the dark

Dancing with the moon

LISTENING TO A MIDNIGHT TUNE

Chasing dreams above the bar
