Feedback Fever

[Intro]

[3s squealing fuzz feedback

Band crashes in on the downbeat]

[Verse 1]

Half pint

In a full-time town

My luck runs thin

But I still hang around

Bad teeth grin

Got a chip on my pride

Scuffed-up boots

And the rain on my side

[Chorus]

I got that feedback fever

Ringing in my brain

Every note gets meaner

Cutting through the strain

Turn it up

Tilt the speaker

Let it howl and shake

Feedback fever

Till the wires all break (hey!)

Coal smoke sky

Under busted street light

You say “grow up”

But I still chase the spark

Lip curled tight

While I laugh in the dark

[Chorus]

I got that feedback fever

Ringing in my brain

Every note gets meaner

Cutting through the strain

Turn it up

Tilt the speaker

Let it howl and shake

Feedback fever

Till the wires all break

[Bridge]

Bite down hard

On the bitter and sweet

Every scar I wear

Keeps time with the beat

You can call it noise

I call it my name

Let it scrape my throat

While it baptizes the blame (oh yeah)

[Chorus]

I got that feedback fever

Ringing in my brain

Every note gets meaner

Cutting through the strain

Turn it up

Tilt the speaker

Let it howl and shake

Feedback fever

Till the wires all break

[Outro]

[Band hits stabs

Vocal yells “fever!” on the last hit]

[Fuzz guitar lets out a final

Bending squeal into silence]
