First Love in the Rearview

[Verse 1]

Dashboard glow on your old mix tape

Summer on the speakers

Faded shape

Traffic’s just a river made of chrome

I chase your reflection all the way home

[Chorus]

Neon in the rearview

First love on my mind

Colors running down the glass

Tangled with the lines

Thought I’d left you in that small-town sky

But every purple midnight

I’m still driving with my first love on my mind

(on my mind, on my mind)

[Verse 2]

Hands at ten and two but I drift back

Lip gloss

Denim

That cul‑de‑sac

You were tracing hearts in window steam

Now they flash by me in electric green

[Chorus]

Neon in the rearview

First love on my mind

Colors running down the glass

Tangled with the lines

Thought I’d left you in that small-town sky

But every purple midnight

I’m still driving with my first love on my mind

(on my mind, on my mind)

[Bridge]

Maybe you forgot that August night

But I still wear its afterglow

Every empty lane

Every flashing sign

Spells your name in slow‑motion

[Chorus]

Neon in the rearview

First love on my mind

Colors running down the glass

Tangled with the lines

Thought I’d left you in that small-town sky

But every purple midnight

I’m still driving with my first love on my mind

(first love on my mind)

(first love on my mind)
