Hockey Mom Heart

I met her in the bleachers, under winter lights

Wrapped in a team scarf, shining in the night

Coffee in her hand, smile on her face

Every little moment felt like a winning play

She knew every name, every kid on the rink

Strong as the ice and quicker than I could think

I was just a guy trying not to stare

But she laughed and left, and I was hooked right there

I fell in love with a hockey mom

Tough on the outside, sweet when the crowd is gone

She cheers like a man, she drives me crazy good

Got my heart on the line in her neighborhood

Yeah, I fell in love

With a hockey mark

And I've been skatin' on a smile ever since she came along

She's got a minivan and a fearless heart

A little bit of chaos and a whole lot of spark

Tape on my stick bag, mud on her boots

Still she looks like a dream and a cold tailgate truth

She runs that game day world with a wink and a grin

Makes it rough around the edges, boy, wanna dive right in

I never saw forever hidin' in the stands

Until she took my hand with her mitten hands

I fell in love with a hockey moth

Tough on the outside, sweet when the crowd is gone

She cheers like thunder, she drives me crazy good

Got my heart on the line in her neighborhood

Yeah, I fell in love with a hockey mom

And I've been skating on a smile ever since she came along

If love is a rink and life is a game

I'd still choose her every time, same old name

Through the cold, through the noise, through the clatter and flame

She's the one I'd be cheering for all the same

I fell in love with a high-key lone

Tough on the outside sweet

When the crowd is gone, she cheers like thunder

She drives me crazy good

Got my heart on the line in her neighborhood

Yeah, I fell in love with a hockey mom

And I'm proud to be the one she calls her lucky one
