Jump-Start Summer

[Verse 1]

Kicked my shoes in your backseat

Windows down

Cherry ice on my teeth

Your playlist stuck on that one song

We scream along

Get the words wrong

[Pre-Chorus]

Sunburn on my shoulders

Phone dying in my hand

No plans

Just the warm air

Coloring our skin like candy sand

[Chorus]

Jump-start summer

Plug my heart in (hey!)

Make this minute last forever in my skin

One more lap around this town

Just spin and spin

Jump-start summer

Jump-start summer again

[Verse 2]

Half-price sodas

Sticky cup in my grip

Laughing so hard that I almost trip

Skateboard wheels on the cracked old road

You let go

But I still feel pulled

[Pre-Chorus]

We don't check the weather

We don't check the time

Chasing every yellow line

Like it's the only sign we'll ever find

[Chorus]

Jump-start summer

Plug my heart in (oh!)

Make this minute last forever in my skin

One more lap around this town

Just spin and spin

Jump-start summer

Jump-start summer again

[Bridge]

Call it reckless

I call it right

Writing our names

In melted ice

If this is wrong

Don't fix it yet

I haven't run

Out of breath

[Chorus]

Jump-start summer

Plug my heart in (hey!)

Make this minute last forever in my skin

One more lap around this town

Just spin and spin

Jump-start summer

Jump-start summer again

[Chorus]

Jump-start summer

Shout it with me (woah)

Hands in the air like we're already free

Freeze this feeling

Frame it deep in my head

Jump-start summer

Play it over again
