Lick the Plate Eatery

Mealed on in the window

The city′s hungry tonight

I walked in with a big grin

And a bigger appetite

The plates came shining

The steam rolled slow

Everybody said, baby, take your time at it though

Eat the bakery

Yeah, we don't waste a thing

Clean to the last sweet flavor

Let the whole room sing

The plate eatery, come on, savour that delight

When the meal hits right

Twistin' all night

The chef made magic with a little fire and spice

Tender on the tongue, smooth like a roll of ice

Friends at the table laughing over every bite

Passing one more basket in the golden light

Make the plate eatery

Yeah, we don't waste a thing

Into the last sweet flavour

Let the whole room sing

Make the plate eatery

Come on, savour the delight

When the meal hits right

We're staying all night

Good food, good mood, every candle burning low

If the sauce is talking, baby, let it overflow

From the first taste to the final smoke

We′re making midnight feel worthwhile

Make the play eerie

Yeah we don't waste a thing

Clean to the last sweet flavor

Let the whole room simulate

The plain eatery, come on, savour the delight

When the meal gets right

We're staying all night
