Midnight Came Early

[Verse 1]

Met you when the bar was barely breathing

Last call lights but your smile said stay

Laughing at the chaos of the weekend

You said, “Funny how we always come so late”

[Chorus]

Midnight came early when I saw you

Time slipped, I forgot about the room

You turned a quiet hour into a boom

Midnight came early, early with you

Midnight came early, what could I do

You made the end of the night feel brand new (oh yeah)

[Verse 2]

Coat on but you kept the story going

Hands crossed, then they drifted to my sleeve

You said, “I’m so bad at leaving moments”

Suddenly I hoped you’d never leave

[Chorus]

Midnight came early when I saw you

Time slipped, I forgot about the room

You turned a quiet hour into a boom

Midnight came early, early with you

Midnight came early, what could I do

You made the end of the night feel brand new (so new)

[Bridge]

Now every evening feels like closing time

But we just pour another glass of sky

You say “we’re late” and then you pull me near

We’re always running out of night, still here

[Chorus]

Midnight came early when I found you

Clock stopped, but my heart just pushed through

You turn a fading hour into a bloom

Midnight came early, early with you

Midnight came early, it’s always you

You make the end of the night feel brand new (oh, brand new)
