Midnight Mascot March

Midnight on the quad and the fork starts to roll

I hear my name echo through the blacktop soul

Jackets on the railing and the lights go low

I step out slow like they all wanted a show

Neon in my eyes and the moon in my back

Heart like a thunderclap, I'm ready to attack

He whisper, here he comes, and the whole room leans

Like a legend in the making with a Halloween sheen

I'm the one they wait for, yeah, I'm that fire

Walking through the dark like I never tired

Camp this legend, I'm alive tonight

Haunted and fearless in the stadium light

Let the shadows sing

I came for the night and I came for everything

Hear the crowd go wild

I'm the spooky fun king of a midnight mile

Shangri-lang shine and my boots hit time

Every step says victory in a crooked rhyme

Bats in my rafters and the students shout aloud

I wear the frail like a banner in the crowd

If the ghosts want a showdown, tell them, line up now

I'm grinning through the thunder, taking this

Bow from the dorms to the bleachers, they all know my name

I was built for the night and I came to claim

I'm the one they wait for, yeah, I'm that fire

Walking through the dark night, I never tire

Campus legend, I'm alive tonight

Haunted and fearless in the stadium light

Let the shadows sing

I came for the night and I came for everything

Hear the crowd go wild

I'm the spooky funching of a midnight mile

So raise up the noise, let the whole block shake

I'm the legend they were hoping would awake
