Moonlit Batting Order

I hear the crowd like glue in the cold black air

Warm on my shoulders, danger in my stare

I came from the shadows with a bat in my hand

One step in the box and the whole world understands

Spinning lights cut the night in half

Heart full of fire, no looking back

Reach for my name like a shot through the dark

I'm alive, why? I'm a strike to the heart

I'm a creature of the night

I don't flinch, I don't fall

Under these lights, I turn fearless and bold

Swing for the fences, hear the whole place roar

When I step to the plate, they remember the score

I'm a creature of the night

In the heat of the fight

Batter's box haunted, but I own the light

Smoke in the laughter, static in my veins

Balls like a drummer, I power my name

Every pitch a prophecy, every glimpse a spark

I make the zombies scream when I start to bark

Hit the stomp, hit the shout, feel the ground shake now

No fear in my chest, I'm the one they can't cage now

One crack of the bat and the ghosts come alive

I walk in like a legend and I leave electrified

I'm a creature of the night, I don't french, I don't fold

Under these lights, I turn fearless and bold

Swing for defenses, hear the whole place roar

When I step to the plate, they remember the score

I'm a creature of the night

With a savage delight

That is box haunted

But I own the light
