Moonlit Pumpkin Parade

I slept at the streetlights, orange on a breeze

Jack-o'-lantern faces were staring at me

The moon was a grin over rooftops and wire

And every grey shadow keeps climbing much higher

Tick-tock, here the nights start to grow

My heartbeat dances to the aftershow

With sisters in the alley, they circle around

Like little lost secrets that can't stay down

I'm wandering the moonlit, honking parade

Where every shadow feels like the lake

Hands in the dark, but I'm not afraid

I shine like a spark in the masquerade

I'm out under the silver haze

We're laughing with the ghosts as the lanterns blaze

I'm wandering the moonlit

And the night sings back my name

Candy-colored phantoms slip into line

Black cat silhouettes in the flicker of time

Bells in the distos go shimmer and chime

Like tiny spell signals in electrical rhyme

Tick-tock, here the nights turn to glow

My heartbeat dances to this song

The aftershow whispers in the alley

They circle around

Like little lost secrets that can't stay down

I'm wandering the north at pumpkin parade

Where every shadow feels alive and awake

Hands in the dark, but I'm not afraid

I shine like the spark in the masquerade

Oh, oh

Under the silver haze

Will I feel it that close as the lanterns blaze?

I'm wondering a little bit, honking parade

And the night sings back my name

Time turns cold

I'll follow the sound through the cup

Wet streets and the shogotas crowd

Every strange little echo is a friend in disguise

Every blinking porch light is a pair of bright eyes

I'm wandering an unbit pumpkin parade

Where every subtle feels alive and awake

Clap to the beat of the midnight ray

We glow like glitter in a haunted arcade

Uh, uh, under the silver haze

We're laughing with the ghosts as the lanterns blaze

I'm wandering in the moonlight, pumpkin parade

And the night sings back my name

Lullaby, don't fade away

I'll keep on dancing till the break of day
