Open Hands

[Verse 1]

You pass me on the sidewalk

Eyes down

Like you’re hiding rain

I offer just a small smile

You look up

And you glow again

[Pre-Chorus]

It doesn’t take a miracle

Just a minute

Just a name

Little kindness in the middle

Of an ordinary day

[Chorus]

We’re just people with our open hands

Trying hard to do the best we can

Sharing coffee

Sharing quiet plans

It’s a simple kind of love

We’re just people finding little ways

Turning heavy into lighter days

Every heartbeat saying we can stay

Soft and human

Soft and enough (oh yeah)

[Verse 2]

Your story in a short text

“I’m tired

But I’m holding on”

I listen like a safe place

You breathe out

And the fear is gone

[Pre-Chorus]

It doesn’t take an answer

Just a shoulder

Just a call

Tiny lanterns in the dark

So we don’t feel so small

[Chorus]

We’re just people with our open hands

Trying hard to do the best we can

Sharing buses

Sharing crooked plans

It’s a simple kind of love

We’re just people finding little ways

Turning heavy into lighter days

Every heartbeat saying we can stay

Soft and human

Soft and enough

[Bridge]

If you’re breaking

You can break right here

Every tear has room

If you’re shaking

I’ll be staying near

We can learn to bloom

From the cracks

From the quiet

From the everyday hush

We are fragile

We are trying

And somehow

That’s enough (oh, that’s enough)

[Chorus]

We’re just people with our open hands

Trying hard to do the best we can

Sharing chances

Sharing second plans

It’s a simple kind of love

We’re just people finding little ways

Turning heavy into lighter days

Every heartbeat saying we can stay

Soft and human

Soft and enough

Soft and human

Soft and enough
