Pumpkin Parade in Pajamas

The porch lights blink on down Maple Lane

Kids in pajamas laughing through the twilight rain

Tiny pumpkins glowing in their careful hands

We start a friendly march through the sleepy land

Step by step, the night feels brave

Little bells are chiming in the amber light

Maybirds wave from every yard

Keeping all our brave hearts warm

Pumpkin lantern parade, we go

Soft little feet in the afterglow

Sidewalk hunks and a smiling breeze

Walking home through the autumn trees

Pumpkin lantern parade, come sing along

Warm as a hug and sweet as a song

Glowing fountains one by one

My neighborhood adventure's just begun

Pass the fence with the painted cat

A peep a ghost dance where the hydrangeas sat

One shy howl from the corner street

And the brush drums keep our steady feet

Step by step, the night feels bright

Riddle bells are jamming in the amber light

Neighbors wave from every yard

Keeping all our brave hearts warm

Tonkin', let them parade, eco

Soft little feet in the afterglow

Sidewalk songs and a smiling breeze

Walking home through the autumn trees

Pumpkin lantern parade, come sing along

Warm as a hug and sweet as a song

Glowing pumpkins one by one

Our neighborhood adventure's just begun

If the moon looks big and the shadows grow

We stay together where the porch lights glow

Hand in hand, we never roam too far

Following the tiny bells like stars

Pumpkin lantern parade, we go

Soft little feet in the afterglow

Sidewalk songs and a smiling breeze

Walking home through the autumn trees

Pumpkin lantern parade, come sing along

Warm as a hug and sweet as a song

Glowing pumpkins, one by one

Our nearby hood adventures just began
