Pumpkin Patch Phantom

I took a midnight stroll where the lanterns glow

Past the curvy little fence and the pumpkins in a row

The moon bore a grin like it knew my name

And the garden lights were dancing in a sugar rush of flame

Oh, the pumpkin patch is smiling back at me

Every jack-o'-lantern blinking wickedly

I tickled through the rose, can't help but laugh

In that glowing little maze on a midnight bath

A shadow on the hay boughs, yeah, a tiny little boat

The marimba started clacking like a secret, I don't know

The vanity joked and hummed, then the brass went slide

The step of my shoes kept time nearby

Oh, the pumpkin patch is smiling back at me

Every jack-o'-lantern blinking wickedly

I tiptoe through the rows, can't help but laugh

In that glowing little maze on the midnight

Whispered voices in the breeze said, come on in

So I gave a crooked grin and let the mischief win

The night felt warm as a candy coated spell

And every carved out grin had a story it could tell

Oh, the pumpkin patch is smiling back at me

Every jackal lantern blinking prickly

I tiptoe through the rows

Can't help but laugh

In that glowing little maze on midnight time

Yeah, the pumpkin patch is smiling back at me

Under autumn stars and a haunted melody

I stroll on home with a grin so wild

Like the whole bride harvest kept a-joking
