Thankful in the Light

Morning breaks soft on my window

Heaven feels close in the room

I lift my hands with a quiet heart

And I bloom

Every day's tried to bend me low

But mercy kept calling my name

Every step was a lifted prayer

And I came

I'm grateful, grateful

For the love that carried me through

I'm grateful, grateful

for the blessing of making it to you

With a warm heart, open and true

I'm grateful

There's a light in the middle of a struggle

There's a song in the work of my hands

Every tear that fell in the dark

Found a place in the plan

I'm grateful

For the love that carried me through

I'm grateful, grateful

For the blessing of making it to you

With a warm heart

Open and true

I'm grateful

Thank you for the road

Thank you for the fire

Thank you for the grace

That keeps me higher

I'm grateful

I'm grateful
