Wasted On The Weekend

[Intro]

I don't wanna grow up

Ever

I don't wanna grow up

Ever (hey!)

[Chorus]

We’re wasted on the weekend

Hearts too loud

We don’t pretend

Middle fingers to the countdown clock

We burn out young

We don’t burn out soft

Wasted on the weekend

Laugh till all the veins in our necks extend

If this is wrong

We’re wrong forever

I don't wanna grow up

Ever

[Verse 1]

Cheap dye in my hair

Stains on the sink

Teacher said “plan

” I just said “drink”

Skateboard scars

Ripped black jeans

Whole damn future bursting at the seams

[Chorus]

We’re wasted on the weekend

Hearts too loud

We don’t pretend

Middle fingers to the countdown clock

We burn out young

We don’t burn out soft

Wasted on the weekend

Laugh till all the veins in our necks extend

If this is wrong

We’re wrong forever

I don't wanna grow up

Ever (hey!)

[Bridge]

Call us a mess

Yeah

Call it a phase

We’ll scream back louder

Set it ablaze

If growing up means shutting it down

Then leave us here

Tearing up this town

[Chorus]

We’re wasted on the weekend

Hearts too loud

We don’t pretend

Middle fingers to the countdown clock

We burn out young

We don’t burn out soft

Wasted on the weekend

Laugh till all the veins in our necks extend

If this is wrong

We’re wrong forever

I don't wanna grow up

Ever
