Won't Stay Down

[Verse 1]

I was counting all my failures

Like they had my name engraved

Every step felt like December

Cold and heavy

Hard to pray

But You met me in the quiet

Pulled the shame out of my hands

Said

"I wrote a different story

Get back up and start again"

[Chorus]

I won't stay down

You turned my valley to a battleground (hey!)

Now every giant's gonna hear this sound

I'm standing

I'm standing

I won't stay down

You put a victory in my mouth right now

And I will shout it till the walls fall down

I'm standing

I'm standing

[Verse 2]

All the lies that said

"You're broken"

You erased them one by one

Now my scars are bright reminders

Of the battles You have won

I got mercy in my bloodstream

I got promise in my lungs

When I breathe Your name in rhythm

Even heartbreak starts to run

[Chorus]

I won't stay down

You turned my valley to a battleground (oh-oh)

Now every giant's gonna hear this sound

I'm standing

I'm standing

I won't stay down

You put a victory in my mouth right now

And I will shout it till the walls fall down

I'm standing

I'm standing

[Bridge]

Choir:

We rise up

We rise up

We rise up

We rise up

With our hands raised high

Singing "God

You’re enough"

Lead:

Every setback's just a set-up for Your grace

Choir:

We rise up

We rise up

From the ashes to the anthem of Your love

Lead:

Every broken place is turning into praise (hey!)

[Chorus]

I won't stay down

You turned my valley to a battleground

Now every giant's gonna hear this sound

I'm standing

I'm standing

I won't stay down

You put a victory in my mouth right now

And I will shout it till the walls fall down

I'm standing

I'm standing (yeah)

I won't stay down
