Blame It On The Weekend

[Chorus]

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it on the late night drive (yeah)

I was doing just fine till you walked back in

Now I'm crashing in your headlines

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it on your crooked smile

You keep pulling me back just to push me off

And I love it for a little while

[Verse 1]

You text

"awake?" at 2 a.m

Like a match dropped in a dry house

I swear I'm done

Then there you are

In my t-shirt on my worn-out couch

[Chorus]

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it on the late night drive (yeah)

I was doing just fine till you walked back in

Now I'm crashing in your headlines

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it on your crooked smile

You keep pulling me back just to push me off

And I love it for a little while

[Bridge]

You say "this is the last time"

Same line

Different night

Same door

We fall apart in the driveway

Then we fall right through the bedroom floor (hey!)

[Chorus]

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it on the late night drive

I was doing just fine till you walked back in

Now I'm crashing in your headlines

Blame it on the weekend

Blame it ‘cause it feels so right

You keep pulling me back just to push me off

So I’m staying for another night
