Frozen Echoes: Nyckelharpa & Drums in the Winter Viking Ritual

[Verse 1]

Rime on the shield rim

Ice in the braided hair

Breath like a ragged hymn

Stone in the mountain stare

Wolves draw a dark ring

Snow takes the sun at noon

Steel hums, a sleeping thing

Waiting to wake too soon

[Chorus]

Frostborn blood

Beats slow, beats loud

Under the pines

We swear our vow

Name on the wind

Carved in the cloud

Frostborn blood

We do not bow

[Verse 2]

Ash in the fire pit

Smoke writes an old curse line

Names that the elders spit

Cut through the crooked pine

Oars on a black tide

Stars like a scatter of bones

Storm at the shoreline

Calls to the buried thrones

[Chorus]

Frostborn blood

Beats slow, beats loud

Under the pines

We swear our vow

Name on the wind

Carved in the cloud

Frostborn blood

We do not bow

[Bridge]

Hoarse throats calling

(low, low, low)

Bare feet pounding

(snow, snow, snow)

Cold gods listening

Far from the glow

We rise together

We do not go

[Chorus]

Frostborn blood

Beats slow, beats loud

Under the pines

We swear our vow

Name on the wind

Carved in the cloud

Frostborn blood

We do not bow
