Haunted Heartbeat

Under strobe light velvet and smoke

You turned your face behind the joke

A silver mask, shattered spark

You pulled me closer through the dark

Every step felt like a spell

Every secret you would never tell

But your shadow called my name

And the whole room caught on flame

So I follow the heartbeat, follow the beat

Through the haunted lights and the spinning feet

You're a mystery, I'll take the chance

Pull me under in your midnight dance

I don't know your name, but I know this heat

I'm falling for you at the edge of the beat

So I follow the heartbeat, follow your heart

I'll let the night tear us apart

Black lace left a crimson curse

Time got sippin′, movin' up

Your gloved hand brushed my chimney spine

Like you′s in haunting me in real life

Every whisper caught like glass

Every moment made the future crash

And beneath the flashing flame

I want more than just romance

So I follow the heartbeat, follow the beat

Through the haunted lights in the spinning feet

If you're a mystery, I'll take the chance

Pull me under and give my dance

I don't know your name, but I know this hue

I'm falling for you at the edge of the beat

So I follow the heartbeat, fall of the heart

Stomp the line, tear us apart

If you disappear when the clock strikes three

Leave a little shadow here with me

I'd rather risk the ghost inside

But never let this feeling rise

So I follow the heartbeat, follow the beat

Through the haunted beats and spinning feet

If you're a mystery, I'll take the chance

Pull me under in your midnight dance

I don't know your name, but I know this heat

I'm falling for you at the edge of the beast

So follow the heartbeat, follow the heart

In the nights too dark, you lit the spark

Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, whoa
