Island on My Mind

[Intro]

[Acoustic guitar riff

3 seconds

Then kick drops]

[Verse 1]

Salt on my skin

Sand in my shoes (hey!)

You spin around

Spilling your drink

Laughing at the bruise

Taxi receipts

Stuck to your thigh

We missed our stop

‘Cause you were tracing circles on my side

[Chorus]

You’re my island on my mind

Every wave pulls me back in time

Little tan lines

Big brown eyes

Caught in your tide

I can’t rewind

Sip

Sip

Slow on a lazy day

You lean close

And I drift away

Doesn’t matter where I land tonight

You’re my island

You’re my island on my mind (on my mind)

[Verse 2]

Hotel key card

Lost in the foam

You said “forget it”

Let’s get lost before we go back home

You stole my shirt

It fit you right

Dancing in flip-flops

Kicking up the stars in the neon night (oh)

[Chorus]

You’re my island on my mind

Every wave pulls me back in time

Little tan lines

Big brown eyes

Caught in your tide

I can’t rewind

Sip

Sip

Slow on a lazy day

You lean close

And I drift away

Doesn’t matter where I land tonight

You’re my island

You’re my island on my mind (on my mind)

[Bridge]

If this is just a season

Why does it feel like home?

You’re my island on my mind (on my mind)

[Bridge]

If this is just a season

Why does it feel like home?

If I wake up and you’re missing

I’ll still taste that coast on my tongue

[Chorus]

You’re my island on my mind

Every wave pulls me back in time

Little tan lines

Big brown eyes

Caught in your tide

I can’t rewind

Sip

Sip

Slow on a lazy day

You lean close

And I drift away

Doesn’t matter where I land tonight

You’re my island

You’re my island on my mind (on my mind)
