Lost Glove on the Library Stairs

A lost glow on the library stairs

Held the shape of a winter left behind

Dust in the light and the hush of the hall

I found my breath where the silence aligns

Pages returning like distant snow

And every shadow knew my name

I touch that wall and remember

How to keep warm inside the flame

One small glove, one small sign

Bringing courage back through the cold time

If the world goes quiet, I'll still stand tall

With a borrowed spark and a heart

That one for

I walked back out with the storm at my side

Not empty-handed, not afraid

The winter called, but I answered slow

With a brave new step that the glove had made

One small glove, one small sign

Bringing courage back through the cold time

If the world goes quiet, I'll still stand tall

With a borrowed spark and a heart that won't
