Midnight Glow

Walking past the storefronts where the shutters stay down

Just a couple silhouettes and a ghost of a town

I see the moonlit patterns dancing on the cold concrete

Keeping pace with the rhythm of our own heartbeat

You caught a spark in your eyes like a light in the dark

Leaving time tracks behind us in the middle of the park

Yeah, we're drifting through the alleys where the tall grass grows

Two spirits on a mission that nobody else knows

Chasing the midnight glow

Nowhere else to go

Chasing the midnight glow

No where else to go

We're just running through the rain and the world's so still

Looking forward, feeling that the morning came, kid

Chasing the midnight glow

Got the droplets on the window and the heater on high

Watching gray clouds swallow up the rest of the sky

We don't need a destination or a map in our hand

Just a secret little corner of this quiet land

Every corner that we turn is like a page in a book

I can read the whole story with a single look

From the heavy mist rising to the wet pavement heat

We're the only ones left on this lonely street

Chasing the midnight glow

Nowhere else to go

Chasing the midnight glow, nowhere else to go

We're sliding through the rain in a world so still

Looking for a feeling that the morning can't kill

Chasing the midnight glow, nowhere to go

Yeah, the clock's tickin' loud, but we're movin' in slow-mo

Everything we need is right here in the photo

No direction, no plans, just a wind in the sails

Leavin' all and every baggage on the rusty rails

When the sun comes up, yeah, the magic might fade

But we're livin' for the moments that the dark made

Hand on the wheel, eyes locked on the prize

Seein' every hidden wonder through your tired eyes

Chasing the midnight glow, nowhere else to go

Chasing the midnight glow, nowhere to go

We're just running through the rain in a world so still

Looking for a feeling that the morning can't kill

Chasing the midnight glow, nowhere else to go
