Moonlight Monster Parade

When the moon puts on its slippers

And the lanterns wake the street

Goofy monsters tiptoe softly

To a bouncy little beat

Pink lanterns bob above us

Like a row of glowing stars

And smiling nighties can sing

As we march through candy jars

Oh, hooray, hooray, little monster, hooray

With a twinkle in the window

And a shimmer in the shade

We go, chomp, chomp, slowly

And we giggle and sway

In a warm, magical, moonlit, merry little way

And the horns go, beep, beep, beep

And the accordion sighs

Bells go, ting, ting, ting

Like fireflies in the skies

A pumpkin with a polka dot scarf waves to every friend

And the stars all clap together when the sleepy rooftops bend

Oh, hooray, hooray, little monster, hooray

With a twinkle in the window and a shimmer in the shade

We go trump, trump, slowly, and we giggle and sway

In a warm, magical moonlight, merry little way

If you hear a pitter-patter near the garden gate tonight

It's a bunch of goofy monsters making lanterns glow snow-bright

Every fuzzy grin is shining, every shadow ends to play

And the smiling stars above us lead the way

A parade, parade, little monster parade

With a twinkle in the window and a shimmer in the shade

Hand in hand and side by side, we wave to the sky

As the sweet little night and the moon go march on by

Goodnight, glowing lanterns, goodnight, silly crew

The parade waltz home with a sparkle in its shoe
