Candy Corn Lullaby

The porch lights fade to amber gold

Our little pumpkins blink in the cold

Shoes by the door and cheeks still bright

We count our steps in the hush of night

We're home now, safe under the autumn moon

Wrapped in a glow like a cozy tune

Candy corn shared in a little dish

Trick or treat dreams and a goodnight wish

Your tiny bag is a treasure chest

A wrapped up smile inside your vest

We trade a laugh for the sweetest bite

And hear the leaves in the velvet night

We're home now, safe under the autumn moon

Wrapped in a glow like a cozy tin

Candy corn shade in a little dish

Trick or treat dreams and a goodnight

The stars lean close through the maple tree

The world feels soft as it can be

No monsters here, just a sleepy breeze

And one-legged hearts and tangled knees

We're home now, safe under the ottoman

Held by the night and its gentle grin

Candy corn shirt and a little dish

Sweet little dreams and a goodnight-lish

Close your eyes, let the moon stay near

Tomorrow morning, we'll find us here
